Axkid Minikid 2 (2022/23) Car Seat - Rear-Facing Safety for Growing Children

The Axkid Minikid 2 is an extended rear-facing car seat designed for children up to around 6 years old. Backed by recent research, this seat offers the safest way for your child to travel. With significant improvements in both design and fabric, the Axkid Minikid 2 guarantees enhanced comfort and security.

Key Features:

• Extended Rear-Facing:
  The Axkid Minikid 2 is designed to keep your child rear-facing for longer, from approximately 6 months old up to 6 years (or 25kg). This extended rear-facing position is the safest way for children to travel.

• Updated Design for Growth:
  The seat now features an updated headrest design and a 2cm longer backrest, offering greater comfort and longevity as your child grows. The seat includes a 10mm thicker insert to provide optimal positioning for younger passengers.

• Custom Fit with Stretch Material:
  The seat cover is made from stretch-material fabric, allowing a custom fit for your child. The new fabric features an easy button attachment for simple removal and washing.

• Automatic Adjustment:
  The headrest and internal harness automatically adjust based on your child’s height and size, ensuring they are always in the best, secure position.

• Multi-Adjustable Recline:
  The Minikid 2 offers five recline positions, allowing you to adjust the seat to suit your child's comfort. Whether they want to sleep or look out of the window, the seat can be reclined for a better experience. For even more recline, the Axkid angle-adjusting wedge (sold separately) provides an additional 10 degrees.

• Self-Tensioning Tether Straps:
  The self-tensioning tether straps make installation easier and more secure. Simply “wiggle” the seat into place for a solid fit, and the straps ensure the seat stays securely in place. Note: Belt-attached seats should always be checked regularly.

• Side Impact Protection (ASIP):
  The Axkid Side Impact Protection (ASIP) is designed to deform and absorb crash energy in the event of a side collision. Developed with the ADAC, one of the world’s top crash institutes in Germany, ASIP helps ensure maximum safety.

• Installation:
  The Axkid Minikid 2 does not feature ISOFIX connectors but is installed rear-facing with vehicle seatbelt attachment. It uses tethers for additional security.

• Premium Option:
  The Axkid Minikid 2 Premium offers a colour-matched headrest and additional padding for extra comfort. It also features customised zippers and buttons, providing a more luxurious look.
